Based on the urban development concept “Master Plan Center Wilhelmsburg 2013/2013+” the new building of the Public Authority for Urban Development and the Environment will be an outstanding key-project. The completion of the building is planned for spring 2013 when the International Construction Exhibition opens. In January 2010, the construction consortium of Sauerbruch Hutton Gesellschaft (SHG) and Reuter Rührgartner Gesellschaft (RR) assigned DIEDERICHS with consulting on the optimization of processes and organizational procedures during the concept design and design stage. Other than time and procurement management our services included the coordination and documentation of regular planning meetings, the follow-up of decision processes with the sponsor, and the randomly check on technical planning aspects as well as cost estimates. DIEDERICHS’ scope of services also included schemes on potential savings and conceptual optimization in order to adhere to the cost baseline.

 

The Dortmunder Stadtfenster a four story real estate with attractive offices is located in a first-class inner city area. The client attaches great importance to energy efficiency and sustainability. As one of just five pilot projects for DGNB certification of existing buildings, this project sets benchmarks for sustainable construction. DIEDERICHS has been assigned with consulting on and coordinating of the auditing process. As one of the first buildings in Germany the Stadtfenster Dortmund has been pre-certified according to the German DGNB system in the category “Refurbishment of Commercial Buildings”.
