60,000m² plasterboard ceiling cooling and heating Residential Building During the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games 2010, the buildings were used by about 2,800 athletes and officials. Afterwards, the majority of the upmarket apartments were sold, another part rented as affordable housing. The so called Millennium Water Project is North America’s first truly sustainable neighbourhood and will certify to LEED Gold standard. This large and high prestige object had to be realised in comparatively short time. A precise preparation as well as room specific production and packaging by the manufacturer BEKA made a quick and smooth installation of the capillary tube mats possible.

Hospital de la Santa Creu Vic, Spain
3,000 m² plasterbord ceiling for radiant cooling and heating Hospital Building The delicate state of health of the patients requires silent and draught-free air conditioning. BEKA capillary tube mats are used for cooling and heating in sickrooms, corridors and common rooms of the geriatric hospital. In 2007, installations in further areas like the Alzheimer station followed.
Abgeordnetenhaus Berlin (State Parliament), Germany
2,500 m² plastered cooling ceiling and wall cooling Government Building In order to avoid disturbance of the parliamentary work of the State Parliament of Berlin, the installation had to be done during summer recess. In only six weeks, energy saving radiant cooling with BEKA capillary tube mats where installed in all the top floor offices. The building was originally erected according to plans of Friedrich Schulze between 1892 and 1899 as Preussischer Landtag (Prussian State Assembly). The neo-Renaissance style building is situated in the city centre near Potsdamer Platz. In 1993 it became seat of the State Parliament of Berlin.
