The DIVE-Turbine has a patented maintenance-free sealing concept and the rest of the turbine-generator-unit is built to operate without maintenance for 20 years. Therefore is it possible to realize unmanned power plants even in a remote location in Chile, without technical support on site.
This project utilizes the existing hydraulic potential of an irrigation canal and generates clean and reliable energy for more than 1.500 households, in a very simple way, as the water catchment already exists.
