There are many advantages of using solar energy in Thailand’s C&I market nowadays. Event without state funding, the technology is more than competitive compared to retail electricity prices. Additionally to the cost saving factor, companies benefit from a greener image and reach their sustainability goals this way.

The company P.P.J. Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary under STAR Holding Group, decided to implement a rooftop PV-system for its new production building for air-conditioning products. The high energy demand of the production during daytime matches perfectly with the electricity generation cycle of the PV-system.
The Project Development Programme (PDP) helped STAR Aire to find the right business partner to implement the PV-system. The company BISReZeca took care of procurement and construction (EPC) using high-quality components made in Germany.

On average, the daily production consists of 3,500 to 5,000 kWh/day. The electricity that is directly used for production helps the company to save around 500,000 THB/month. The PDP Team not only accompanied the project in terms of consulting and technical expertise but also helped to receive a tax exemption that will lead to additional cost savings and cut the time of amortisation in half.
