Project Development in Mali German Training Week within the Project Development Programme (PDP)
Introduction
The language of presentation will be French.
The five-day course is structured as follows:
Day 1 | Course overview | Project phases, stakeholders of project development, finance of projects |
Day 2 | Technical Aspects | Introduction into the solar PV technology, assessment of PV-resources and energy output, PV-system design, concepts for on-site electricity generation and consumption, suitability of locations, construction, operation and maintenance of PV-systems |
Day 3 | Commercial Aspects | Electricity load profiles, business models, financial modelling, business opportunities for project developers |
Day 4 | Legal Aspects | Main investment risks, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), leasing model, EPC-contracts, O&M contracts, project finance agreements, regulatory issues and insurance issues |
Day 5 | Communication | Documentation, successful preparation for project development, final test |
The training is free of charge.
Project Development Programme of the German Energy Solutions Initiative
The German Training Week (GTW) – Project Development is organised as part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative under the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. With the conduction of the GTW the Project Development Programme (PDP) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH aims to establish long-term business partnerships between German and Malian companies.
