To our calendarSolar rooftop systems done right can lead to dramatic savings in power cost and at the same time support businesses in complying with increasing demands for CO2 savings and energy efficiency. In order to make it possible for you to benefit from these substantial cost reductions, the Energy Solutions Initiative invites you to a 4-day reference project trip to Ghana.
The purpose of the trip is to display successful and high-quality solar systems in their real-life condition. The programme will contain discussions with current solar PV system owners and expert inputs on technical details (overview) and economic considerations and investment cases. The programme is tailored in a way so to empower you to make an informed decision on the adoption of a solar PV rooftop system.
The German Energy Solutions Initiative covers all cost associated with the programme. Participants are requested to cover their own travel expenditures and accommodation.
Rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) application can contribute significantly to cost reduction and the realization of climate and sustainable. At the same time, these are also emerging renewable energy markets, attracting high interest and offering business opportunities with German solution providers and financiers.
The purpose of the trip is to showcase successful and high-quality solar systems in their real-life condition. The programme will contain discussions with current solar PV system owners and expert inputs on technical details (overview) and economic considerations and investment cases.
You will have the opportunities to introduce your embedded generation solar projects and directly discuss offers with the German solar solutions providers. Via the reference project site visits, you will be able to learn from your peer industrial enterprises their experiences developing rooftop solar project under Ghanaian conditions and the benefits of German technologies and services.
The event will be in English and French (upon request). The three-day agenda is structured as follows:

| Day 2 | Net-working workshop | • Updates on legal framework, market status and viable business models for rooftop solar in Vietnam • Project opportunities introduced by the industrial clients • German companies presenting and offering services and products fitting the audience’s expectations. |
| Day 3 | Individual follow up meetings | • Site visits to potential projects and business meetings between German companies and the clients. |
The PDP Reference Project Trip – Project Development is organised as part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative under the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. With the conduction of the Project Development Programme (PDP) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH aims to establish long-term business partnerships between German and West African companies.
The German Energy Solutions Initiative covers all cost associated with the programme. Participants are requested to cover their own travel expenditures.
