Technologies for grid loss reduction and grid stabilization Fact-finding mission

Introduction

A fact-finding mission for company representatives and decision-makers from Brazil to Germany from 20-24 June 2022 will enable you to gather first-hand information on technologies for grid loss reduction and grid stabilization and to establish business contacts with German companies in the field. The fact-finding mission includes a networking event and virtual visits of German companies and best-practice projects.

Begin: 20/06/2022
End: 24/06/2022
Location: Online
Field of application/technology: Energy infrastructure
Country of implementation: Brazil
Target area: America, South America

Meet German companies

The networking event and information seminar will be held virtually on June 20, 2022. The event provides insight into the current situation, trends and prospects for German energy solutions with regard to grid loss reduction and grid stabilization. You have the chance to exchange knowledge with German experts and company representatives.

On the following days, on-site visits to see best-practice technology applications and/or measures are planned. Participants will benefit from a comprehensive information and visitor programme designed to foster the transfer of expertise.

Representatives from state-owned and private companies, grid operators, ministries, public authorities and energy associations who want to gain a first-hand insight into German energy solutions are welcome to join the fact-finding mission.

Energy solutions made in Germany

The electrical grid in Germany is operated by four main TSOs, and regulations are enforced by the Bundesnetzagentur. Due to their somewhat unpredictable nature, an increasing share of wind and solar power in the grid poses complications for grid stability and may risk loss of energy. German companies are therefore increasingly looking for ways to maintain grid stability in the future by improving battery technologies and implementing an expansive smart grid as well as blockchain-technologies.
