German-Japanese Bioenergy Symposium 2026  Energy Trade Mission

Introduction

In the German-Japanese Bioenergy Symposium, guest speakers from both countries as well as several German bioenergy companies will share their experience and know how. The goal is to promote economic exchange between Japanese and German companies in the field of bioenergy. This event is organized in the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, coordinated and financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).

An energy trade mission to Japan will take place from June 22 to June, 26, 2026. Up to eight German companies offering sustainable technologies and smart solutions in field of Bioenergy can participate. The trade mission includes a conference and individual business meetings. 

Connect with German companies  

The one-day conference in Sapporo on June 24, 2026, will showcase the expertise and the latest energy solutions from Germany and Japan. This conference provides a forum for networking, specialist talks, discussing current developments and the policy environment for smart energy solutions.  

If you are interested in cooperating with German companies that provide technologies and services n the bioenergy field, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Japan) will organize individual business meetings at your request throughout the trade mission week. You can gain insights into the products and services the participants offer and explore business opportunities with them.
