Indonesia possesses one of the largest geothermal potentials worldwide and is prioritizing its expansion as part of its energy and climate strategy. German companies gain direct access to state-owned energy enterprises, financing institutions, and project developers, obtain insights into ongoing projects, and identify concrete cooperation opportunities within the WKP development areas. 

The five‑day project exploration trip from 21–25 September 2026 includes an on‑site briefing, expert discussions with PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), PT PLN and PT SMI, a technical workshop with ITB, PVMBG and INAGA, as well as site visits to active geothermal facilities in West Java. An executive roundtable and networking formats will facilitate direct exchanges with key decision-makers. The aim is to identify concrete project approaches and establish long‑term cooperation.
