The REF offers a 2-day programme which combines market insights with practical experience. A conference day focuses on market developments, regulatory frameworks and exchange opportunities with international solution providers. Participating companies present the advantages of their technologies and discuss potential applications with local stakeholders. 

A key element of the REF is visiting one or two industrial sites where reference projects have already been implemented with German solutions. Participants gain first-hand insights into the planning, implementation and operation of a sustainable energy project and exchange directly with all involved parties on their experience and the technical, operational and economic results delivered by the projects.
