Germany's first research-wind farm and a storage power plant: NEW ideas for the Energiewende in the north
Opens in a new window
Within the scope of the BMWi-funded collaborative project “Norddeutsche Energiewende – NEW 4.0” researchers are seeking to gain important insights into the future energy supply of the regions of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Minor research projects examine various specific questions within the field of wind energy and the link with other technologies - now even directly linked to an operating wind farm.

Analysis of drilling-pipe-vibrations to cut damages and costs in deep geothermal drillings
Opens in a new window
Vibrations in the drill pipes can lead to considerable delays when conducting geothermal drillings at depths of several thousand metres. In order to prevent the rise in costs resulting from this, a research project is currently examining the vibration behaviour of drill pipe components more closely.
