Developing a new quarter in the city of Gießen: Sector coupling with an innovative storage system
Opens in a new window
In the Hessian town of Gießen, an old, derelict military site is being converted into an almost climate-neutral residential and commercial area. The core of the project "FlexQuartier" is an innovative storage system that combines three different technologies. The ongoing investigations will be addressing the serviceability of the energy system through sector coupling and the flexibilisation of the district grid.
