ERK Energy Systems is a technology provider for boiler, combustion systems as well as customized engineering solutions in the field of steam, power and thermal engineering located in Berlin, Germany. In 2017 ERK and the Norwegian boiler system supplier Parat Halvorsen have entered a cooperation by signing a know-how transfer agreement. Parat is the first licensee for ERK Tubes® offshore applications and has already won projects thanks to the compact design of ERK Tube boilers.

The credit to this successful cooperation goes back to an AHK-business trip to Norway within the German Energy Solutions Initiative organized by the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and the energiewaechter GmbH in the year 2015. The match-making efforts of the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce assisted both the companies to identify the synergies to work together. Furthermore, the follow up meetings helped the energy experts to explore the vast potential of cooperation by analyzing market segments which could be addressed individually. This technology transfer from Germany to Norway has already recorded their first reference project and both the companies are exploring new opportunities to work together.

ERK Tubes® are characterised by an enhanced heat transfer and self-cleaning effect. On the other hand Parat offers equipment for the offshore and marine industry.
