aventies GmbH is a young german company that deals with software development in the field of realty management. Since 2006 we are testing various energy- and metering-concepts within a housing project in Magdeburg, Germany. In the process we developed AlterHausVerwalter.de, an online-platform to manage utility costs, that makes energy consumption more transparent. We are a small team of five with a great passion for technology and highest dedication for sustainability and care for resources. We consist of three software engineers plus two people involved in project management. Our team in Berlin has been working on this project for almost a year now. The product is based on research and development work in the field of realty management and building technology. Our test results demonstrate energy savings of 20% - 30%. We are convinced that commercializing our idea will have a great impact on our environment and climate.

Since 2006 we are testing various energy- and metering-concepts within a housing project in Magdeburg called generationHof. generationHof consists of 2 apartment buildings and 5 connected row houses with a total of 19 housing units. All apartments and houses were redeveloped with exclusively organic and sustainable building materials and brought to an energy-saving new level. A combined heat and power plant provides electricity and heat to the tenants in line with a closed distribution network. The billing of costs are carried out within a balance method, which ensures that tenants pay directly for the energy they consume and the landlord does not bear any financial risk. Tenants also receive a monthly billing that is understandable and transparent. To keep the effort and the cost of billing low, the innovative billing system AlterHausVerwalter.de was developed and implemented, which simplifies both energy and utility costs.
