Storage Solutions for the Energy and Transport Infrastructure, including Solutions for Green Hydrogen

Introduction

Begin: 12/09/2022
End: 16/09/2022
Location: Online
Field of application/technology: Energy storage, Energy infrastructure, Hydrogen
Country of implementation: India
Target area: South and East Asia

The online fact-finding mission offers first-hand information on storage solutions for energy and transport infrastructure with the integration of green hydrogen and to establish business contacts with German companies for company representatives and decision-makers from India. The event includes networking an virtual site visits.

Connect with German companies

An online networking event and information seminar will be held on 13 September 2022. The event provides insight into the current situation, trends and prospects for German energy solutions with regard to storage solutions for energy and transport infrastructure and a chance to exchange experiences with German experts and company representatives.

On the following days, you will be able to virtually visit best-practice technology applications. You will benefit from a comprehensive information and visitor programme designed to foster the transfer of expertise. Representatives from state-owned and private companies, grid operators, ministries, public authorities and energy associations who want to gain a first-hand insight into German energy solutions are welcome to join the fact-finding-mission.

Energy solutions made in Germany

By 2030, Germany wants to reduce emissions by 40% of 1990 levels in the transport sector by subsidizing electric vehicles, encouraging clean modes of transport, such as trains or bicycles, and by expanding electric charging infrastructure. Major investments in the expansion of the energy networks are planned.

New technologies in the energy grid sector - including superconductors, high-temperature lines and local power transformers – are being tested in pilot projects. Also, the government is looking to become a front runner in hydrogen use. In 2020 it had 83 hydrogen filling stations in use, by far the most of any European country. In light of these developments, the need for better energy storage solutions is growing as well.
