A fact-finding mission for company representatives and decision-makers from India to Germany from 23 – 27 September 2024 will enable you to gather first-hand information on offshore wind energy and to establish business contacts with German companies. The fact-finding mission includes a networking event and on-site visits of best-practice projects.

Meet German companies

The networking event and information seminar will be held on 23 September in Hamburg. The event provides insight into the current situation, trends and prospects for German energy solutions with regard to offshore wind energy. You have the chance to exchange knowledge with German experts and company representatives.

On the following days, on-site visits to see best-practice technology applications and/or measures are planned for you in Hamburg and Northern Germany. You will benefit from a comprehensive information and visitor programme designed to foster the transfer of expertise. Representatives from state-owned and private companies, grid operators, ministries, public authorities and energy associations who want to gain a first-hand insight into German energy solutions are welcome to join the fact-finding-mission.

Energy solutions made in Germany

As of early 2024, Germany has one of the largest offshore wind capacities in the world, with installed capacities exceeding 7.7 GW. The government has set an ambitious goal to reach 20 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 and aims for 40 GW by 2040. Regulatory frameworks and financial incentives support this goal and are designed to attract investment in project development. The German offshore wind sector is globally known for its technological innovation, particularly in the areas of turbine design, floating wind farms, and integration of hydrogen. Increasingly, companies are focusing on larger and more efficient turbines to optimize energy production.
